What Kieran is like

We wanted to share a few things about our little buddy.

Everything you see on TV leads you to believe that the baby comes out and starts crying away. Not so. When he was delivered, he only let out a few shrieks then calmed right down. We thought maybe he would find his voice soon, and he has to some extent. For instance, if he has a dirty diaper, then he may sit and stare at you or sleep right through it. Maybe he's using The Force to tell us. Obi Wan you're my only hope!

He likes to coo and chirp. At first it sounded rather pathetic, but it's grown on us both and is rather soothing to hear.

He has started to express his discontent when he's hungry which is good. He dropped 6 oz before we left the hospital and a check up with the pediatrician showed that he maintained his discharge weight. This was both a relief and disappointment for us. We were hoping he'd gained some weight, but at least he hasn't dropped anymore! He's eating much more these past two days, so we're hoping that his next check-up will show some increase.

He has big brown eyes that can make even his daddy melt. Thanks to the Indian in him, he has a thick head of hair, but unfortunately I think he may have his daddy's hair line. He's got a strong grip, so I'm taking it as a sign that he will be VT's starting QB in the year 2029! Maybe then we can actually win a National Championship!

Here are a few more pictures that we have collected over the past few days.

I love that last picture. Sounds like you all are very happy and really cherishing these days. It's great that you started the blog so early. I wish I could remember Kadyn's first days. Congratulations, again. He is adorable :)

My favorite is picture number 2. He has that "Watch you talkin' 'bout Willis?" look to him. Congratulations to both of you! You have a beautiful child!
