Labor Day??? More Like Play Day!

Game Day... finally! Kieran was all excited for the big game but too bad it started past his bed time. He tried to stay awake, but he didn't last. I guess it's a good thing. It turned out to be an R rated event due to the lack of performance on the part of our beloved Hokies. We did manage to get one good shot of him in his Tech gear. Too bad daddy had the bib on that covered his little VT.



Early the next morning, we packed up the car and headed to Atlantic Beach. It was a beautiful morning in Raleigh, but the clouds set in as we got closer to the coast. The lack of sun seemed to upset our little guy, so mommy had to sing for about the last 30 to 45 minutes of the ride just to keep him from crying.

Atlantic Beach greeted us with some sprinkles, so we decided to switch things around and headed to the aquarium first. We weren't really sure how Kieran would react to all the fishies. He seemed to get a kick out of some but was most interested in the turtles. A lot of the exhibits weren't lit very well, so we're not sure how much he actually saw. He did enjoy seeing his reflection in all of the tanks. Mommy and daddy had fun posing with him.

After tooling around the aquarium for a while, the weather didn't seem to be improving so we decided to hit the beach anyway. It would have been nice if the sun had come out, but we had a great time regardless.

Mommy is having a great time, but he still seems a bit unsure of it all.

What was that line in that song daddy? ...Ray a drop of golden sun? Where's that sun at? I'm ready.
